SwissMemory

There is a store in a city near me that has a SwissMemory on display. It has been there for ages as you can tell by the discolouration on the box. But the 64MB is a dead give-away. This thing has been sitting here for ages. Curiously, the price is still the same as in 2005…

I’ve tried a couple of times to talk the price down, but to no avail. Even though the item isn’t listed in their inventory anymore. Every time I walk by I hope it’s on sale. But I stopped trying.

Then this beauty came along. New in box and double the memory! Still, for today’s standards it’s nothing of course.

This rather beefy 58mm is essentially nothing more than a Signature Lite with and added USB drive.

The USB drive can be removed from the SAK. That way you can work on the USB drive and still open letters or file your nails.

The LED in this model is the older type, a red LED. It’s often criticized for it’s usefulness and was later replaced with a higher powered white LED. But I like the red LEDs. It’s bright enough to find your keys in the dark or find something in the bottom of a backpack.
